An implementation plan is key to success or failure of assistive technology. Once AT has been considered and the device has been chosen to trial, the team must make decisions on what, when, where and how the AT device will be used.
Case Study: Joe
Joe is a bright middle school student with a specific learning disability that especially effects his ability to read and write. He struggles with remembering details such as facts, dates, names and organization. He is an exceptional artist and athlete. He enjoys hands on activities and has a good grasp of overall of concepts. He is on high school graduation track and wants to attend a 4-year college on graduation, however, his grades are dropping and he has had to retake algebra.
